She had been told early in her transition to not mention her Doctorate. It might be too intimidating.

Women, and men, if you have accomplished something, even a new Google certification, a health goal, a business challenge, and especially if you have dedicated years of your life to be honored with a degree of any type- in this case a Doctorate- stand up and let us all know!
