On Women In Innovation: Where Are You? Are You Out There?
A Call to Action and Ideas for an #Innovation #Incubator,
After attending a slew of terrific conferences recently focusing on Tech, Innovation, Start Ups, et al, I turned to a friend during another all- male panel and whispered, "Where are the women?"
This is in no way about Equal Opportunity. This is about finding you and helping you lift your visibility.
These men were great. They were the Visionaries. They were the Founders. They worked tirelessly for years before taking the stage. They deserved to be up there.
And here's where else I live: I am privileged to be part of exciting conversations on a daily basis.
I talk with Founders, Entrepreneurs, Investors, Innovators- and women are predominately not here.
I know dozens of women who are absolute powerhouses throughout the industry. These 'breakout artists' are going to win anywhere they go, with anything they do.
But we are seeing very small numbers of women who are innovating and starting companies.
There is fresh opportunity and there is plenty of #BlueOcean and #BlueSky (if you don't know the references, find out today! It's not about the weather!) for women to be part of the next new wave of Automotive.
