My post last week on the phrase 'Modern Retail' stirred up quite a buzz.
Why do we need a moniker or adjective for conducting sound, forward-thinking, logical, strategic, customer-service based, good-for-employees and PROFITABLE businesses?

We don't. Just be great and be in the constant pursuit of Excellence!

Now to those who want to hide behind the name 'Modern' would you dare to know what words or phrases your Customers and Employees are choosing to describe the way your company is operating in real time, and in real life?

Get out from behind the desk and find out the truth.

Leaning on over-used, amplified words like 'Modern' may cause some to lean away from doing the necessary work to ensure 'Modern' anything is happening.

It's much easier to jump up on a stage and declare how 'Modern' your business is, it's a much different thing when we pull the curtain back on the real 'State of Their Operations'.
