It's been an entire pandemic since I have been able to be here in Paris. I cannot tell you how thrilling it is to be in the city I love so dearly once again.I could almost cry I'm so happy, thrilled, relieved to be here.

In the meantime, I've been doing quite a bit of research on all of the bridges and can't wait to test my knowledge and see them with a new set of eyes. Lutecia was settled by the Parisii over 2000 years ago, safely nestling on the Ile de Cite...It was only renamed Paris around 3-400AD. There is a Roman arena I have never seen that I can't wait to explore. It was only unearthed in the 1800s and is right across the bridge from us.
Joan will be joining me tomorrow afternoon. I'll be doing my wandering around everywhere everywhere tonight and tomorrow morning I will be hitting the flea markets Marches de Puces. If anyone has additional flea market recommendations from personal experience please let me know.
We chose this place because of the neighborhoods and proximity to some of the different things we both wanted to do this time. We both love the Marais district, the Latin Quarter And this area gives us a little bit more opportunity for more moving around in a neighborhood environment while we're still right in the middle of everything.
We met 3 Michelin Star Restaurateur, Raffaella Alajmo at the conference. They have opened a caffe here named #STERN where they employ their same standards as with their dozen + award-winning restaurants of the Alajmo Group. I've never considered myself enough of a foodie to want to visit a The MICHELIN Guide rated restaurant but he gave me new insight and reasons for wanting to do so.
I will have no difficulty keeping myself occupied but it is going to be so much more fun once Joan Ritter arrives...yay!!!
