On LinkedIn Tips If Someone is Managing Your Account: The Missed Communications Edition

This note is super quick, but incredibly important if you are trying to connect with your audience and increase engagement.

Many business leaders have now taken the approach of having someone else do the writing for them on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.

While there is a lot to be admired here, there are a few things I want you to keep in mind.

1) Very often, these well intentioned people resort to only talking about your business or your products. This can lead to reader fatigue or disinterest.

2) If they only post you in glamor or work-out shots, you will attract an audience of mostly those non-interested people in doing business with you. While you are getting a pile of vanity metrics, they typically don't result in revenue.

You want real connections and conversations, not flattery. Don't let your ego convince you otherwise.

3) You or someone must pay attention to your direct messages on LinkedIn and any platforms.

You're putting out all of this great content, people are responding...but if you're not reading, them you're missing the whole point.

This is exactly the engagement that you are looking for but you're missing it!!!
Set alerts and notifications for LinkedIn messages today and enjoy the rewards of your efforts.

Otherwise you're speaking into a void, spending $$$ and time, and yet the payoff and results you are seeking won't transpire.

Kudos to you for deciding to make a forward effort. Now let's tune it up!!

I hope these insights are helpful.

Wish me luck!
