November. 30 days. Or is it?
As we meet with most of our clients for the first time we realize quickly that their #forecasting is limited to year over year projections and possibly, just possibly the amount of days in the month.
Let's take a closer look at November.
Start with Thanksgiving.
Far too many businesses see it as a one day holiday.
But is it?
We all know better than this based on our own personal preferences and schedules.
Conduct an in-depth analysis on the impact of your people, your customers, your sales, hour to hour throughout the entire 7 days surrounding Thanksgiving.
You do the work. Share it with me later.
Next up, Hunting Season.
Doesn't matter whether you like it or not or hunt or not.
Most businesses are impacted by the fluctuation in personnel, PTO plus decreased productivity due to extra conversations during this period.
Both items have been in play for as long as we've been in business. Yet rarely are these and other key metrics considered when setting budgets, staffing and predicting outcomes.
This contributes to why we still have an EKG in our month to month results.
"We had a tough month."
Or was there info available to predict more accurately and adjust?
