I was reminded again this week of how daunting a task public speaking is for most people. The ones who care the most and best equipped with the knowledge of the product or topic are rarely given or even offered support.
I was also reminded recently that some of the people most willing and eager to host their companies' presentations don't realize how poorly their performance is.
For today, carefully consider how important these efforts, these presentations are to the audience.
Whether the group you will be in front of are:
Active Customers
Prospective Clients
Internal Teams
General Audience
or some other event, your intentional delivery is critical. And it will and should vary.
This requires far more than a raised hand.
