On Mementos, Plans and a Life with Beauty and Gratitude: My Sunday Morning Edition, inspired today by CBS' #SundayMorning segment on the restoration of Notre Dame.
Watching the inspiring update today with an inside look at the restoration progress turn progress at the the world's treasure that is Notre Dame, I paused the screen. The shot hovered over the entirety of Ile de Cite and the many bridges reaching out towards the Left and Right Banks.
This took me on another impromptu journey of the many bridges gloriously stretched across the Seine.
Reading an article about these bridges And the river that is the life blood of Paris uncovered a journalist new to me, Elaine Sciolino.
Suddenly I was reading her articles as the Paris editor for The New York Times, Then coming across this article I'm sharing today about the museums and their boutiques and shops.
Some of my favorite treasures from my trips abroad came from the shops and boutiques inside these magnificent museums.
Even the smallest treasures such as pillows and hand towels and little pieces of jewelry are rare and meaningful to me as I use them daily.
Back here in the States nearly 20 years ago I picked up a sweet book called Linea in Monet's Gardens when the Monet exhibit was in Chicago at the Art Institute.
It's such a beautiful book and I can now share it with my G babies. Making the trip to Giverny tops my list for my next visit to France. Taking my growing family abroad with me someday will be the joy of a lifetime.
For today as I walk around the house I'll enjoy these tokens,the memories they bring and the plans they inspire.
I have already ordered a few books for myself from Ms. Sciolini and sent a few to my dear friend and European travel companion, Joan. Andrea Seymour, you're next!

Without realizing it, again today I find myself with three different books at my fingertips, all wildly different yet all completely integral to who I am and what I aspire to be.
Don't wait for others to inspire you in real time. So many authors have already done the work. Go on a mission to inspire yourself, exposing your mind and escaping all at once.
I'm always taking notes and jotting down new thoughts that present themselves when I treat myself to open time to read.
Today's books include:
Brené Brown Education and Research Group Brene Brown's Atlas of the Heart... Her insights on communication connection and language are very helpful.
Profit First by Mike Michalowicz. This one is so good I'm reading and listening to it at the same time.
The Seine: The River that Made Paris by Elaine Sciolino. After learning about her and her work over the weekend this book shall provide good fodder for plotting out my next #Parisian adventure with an added dimension.
