Yes, you will *literally* add generosity, sharing, offering assistance
onto your calendar.

It's good to see it and black and white. before the day or the week
starts.

It's so important that you should use another tip I use:

Give it a color.

Make it a color you like. A color that evokes the feeling of helping
others or care or love or joy or gratification.

Because those are the feelings that are going to show up.

Now as you look back on your days or plan your days ahead you
will see this color sprinkled throughout your weeks.

I recommend light green. This feels like new growth and fresh
beginnings to me.

The funny thing about contributing to others is finding out how
much of that new growth is inside you and not just in your
benefactor.

Be intentional to contribute with abandon.
whatever you're doing right now, ramp it up.

Be the kind, generous person you are outside of work to others to those inside the paradigm of your work life.

I can guarantee you the results are equally as rewarding.

Maybe even moreso as you're touching lives you can see grow right
before your eyes as you grow right along with them.

Now enjoy your day and keep contributing at the top of your mind
and in the bright green of your calendar.

Greater success is right outside this door.

"Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail."

We've all heard this wise axiom:
"Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail."
I'm taking a close look at this one, toying with it and adding my own touch. It might even be painful for some of us.

What is the real story here?

Read this to yourself, and out loud.

"Failing to Plan Shows Failing to Care."

Gasp. This literally took me aback.

Those 7 words took on a new power.
"Failing. To. Plan. Shows. Failing. To. Care."
Consciously or unconsciously, the message feels the same.

Failing who?
Ourselves, others?
Of course we care...but 'Care' like most everything, is in the perspective of the recipient.

Is it possible that our small oversights amounted to a feeling that we weren't invested...that the person or project didn't...matter?!

I'm going to set this one out there for you to consider now.

Thoughts? You know me, there is a pot of gold full of positivity, but let's do the work to get there first.

How rapidly are we closing the gender gap in Automotive Retail?

Straight from our research desk:
While women now hold a record 21% of the positions at a dealership, merely 8 cents of each dealerships' dollar of payroll lands in their paycheck.

Frankly, it is difficult to believe the facts.
We are entering 2021 with women barely taking in 8% of automotive retail payroll.

It may be more clear or perhaps even worse to view it this way:
$1,000,000 of payroll, distributed like this:
$920,000 to male employees
$80,000 to female employees

On Attracting, not Chasing.

Who is on your wish list of people you'd like to meet, and why? What if I told you there were better results available if you attracted their attention, rather than hunting them down?

Trust me, people know when you have them targeted.
Why be the hunter, be the hunted.

Set yourself up as a professional friend who can offer them opportunities to excel, through conversations that capture their interest and make them want to hear more, learn more.

It's as old as time, but you win more by giving than taking. There are universal laws that will support your efforts if you slow down, recalibrate and focus on not what you will get from a connection, but what you will give others.

My favorite consultant to the 'rich and famous', globally recognized author and leader David A. Fields calls this 'Right Side Up Thinking'.

Be 'attractive' and send the right signals to gain interested customers. It's less exhausting than chasing and it's so much more rewarding.

On instigating Positivity.

Get ready to be the Chief Instigator of Great Things
Take a look around those you are interacting with. What is it that you could say or do to let them know they are important to you?

Here's something I practice

I frequently (and it's not just a saying or a phrase) tell people how great it was to hear from them...because I mean it.

Going next level, when you're really thinking or smiling on a call, before you wrap up, tell them they made my day. You tell someone they 'made your day' by hearing from them and it changes their dynamic...their mood,, their day! You have to mean it of course.

But how often do we not even say the minimums to people? If we've learned one thing this year is that people are the only thing that matters.

Instigate Positivity. Be an Agent of Positive Change, Opportunity and Hope.

Believe in people. You may never know how far the ripples of your kindness will extende, but it's always much more than you can imagine...or could have done on your own.

Instigators of Positivity can create an unstoppable chain of events for good. For zero dollars, just 10 seconds of time and your intention.

As we go into the middle of December, make the decision to contribute with your words.
